Why RGL Certification Matters
In today’s market, authenticity matters. Rudraksha beads are spiritually significant and widely valued, but buyers often face uncertainty around origin, structure, maturity, and tampering. RGL was established to bring greater clarity, consistency, and trust to Rudraksha certification.
As the first laboratory to develop a dedicated Rudraksha grading system, RGL has introduced a more structured framework for evaluating Rudraksha beads. Our certification process helps clients assess key characteristics through external morphology review, internal consistency analysis, and documented grading criteria.

The RGL 5C Grading System
At the core of our methodology is the RGL 5C Grading System, the first structured grading system developed specifically for Rudraksha. This framework evaluates each bead across five essential parameters.
Count: Verification of mukhi formation, continuity, and natural line definition.
Core Integrity: Assessment of internal structure, chamber alignment, and maturity indicators including Heft Index review.
Condition: Examination of surface health, preservation, cracks, decay, and visible damage.
Consistency: Comparison of internal structure with external mukhi formation to identify natural alignment.
Cut: Review of shape, symmetry, and bore positioning.

RGL was created with a clear purpose: to bring a more disciplined and transparent approach to Rudraksha certification. We combine methodical examination with respect for the cultural and spiritual significance of Rudraksha beads.
As the first to develop a dedicated Rudraksha grading system, RGL introduced a more systematic language of evaluation for this sacred category.
Our work is guided by three principles: clarity, consistency, and credibility.
