Terms & Conditions
Terms for certification booking, online payment, courier submission, report issue, verification, and user responsibilities.
Terms & Conditions
Effective date: May 2026. These Terms govern use of the RGL Certified website and Rudraksha certification services offered by Rudraksha Gemological Laboratory (“RGL,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
1. Nature of service
RGL provides professional examination, identification, commercial quality communication, RGL 5C Grading™, Heft Index™ maturity support, RudraSure™ trust services, and report verification for Rudraksha specimens. Reports are professional opinions based on observable and measurable characteristics at the time of examination.
2. Approval before shipment
RGL may review submitted details and images before accepting a specimen for paid certification. RGL may approve the request, ask for clarification, recommend a different service, or decline the request before the user ships the item.
3. User information
The user must provide accurate name, contact, address, specimen details, seller claims, declared value information, photographs, payment details, and courier information. RGL may delay, hold, or decline processing where information is incomplete, inconsistent, misleading, or unsuitable for service delivery.
4. Declared value and seller claims
Any declared value, price paid, seller claim, or alleged market value provided by the user is for submission reference only. It is not an RGL valuation, appraisal, insurance confirmation, resale guarantee, or acceptance of liability for that amount.
5. False, altered, or non-verifiable submissions
If the received item is artificial, altered, fused, non-verifiable, materially different from the online submission, or unsuitable for reliable reporting, RGL may issue Not Certified / Rejected status, add noted limitations, decline certification, request clarification, or return the item according to policy. RGL is not responsible for false seller claims or inflated user declarations.
6. Payment
Certification fees and shipment fees are payable only through approved payment channels. A request becomes a paid booking only after RGL approval, successful payment confirmation, and creation of an RGL reference record. Failed, pending, reversed, duplicate, or disputed payments may delay processing.
7. Shipping and insurance
The user is responsible for safe packing and accurate address details. Where RGL shipment pickup is available, shipment charges and courier terms apply. For high-value submissions, the user should consider courier insurance or declared-value services where available. Courier liability is governed by the selected courier and insurance terms, not by RGL’s report grade or user-declared value.
8. Laboratory intake
RGL responsibility begins only after physical receipt and documented intake of the specimen at RGL. RGL may photograph, log, label, image, examine, and review the item according to laboratory workflow.
9. Report outcome
RGL may issue a certification report, a report with noted limitations, or decline certification where the specimen is unsuitable for reliable reporting. Certification outcome is determined solely by RGL’s examination and review process.
10. No outcome guarantee
RGL does not certify religious, spiritual, astrological, therapeutic, medical, metaphysical, investment, future resale, or market-price outcomes. A report should not be treated as a promise of future value, buyer acceptance, or commercial success.
11. Cancellations and refunds
Cancellation and refund requests are governed by the Refund, Cancellation & Shipping Policy. Once RGL has received, logged, photographed, examined, or reviewed a specimen, certification fees may become partly or fully non-refundable because laboratory time and documentation work have started.
12. Return dispatch
After examination and report issue or rejection, RGL dispatches the Rudraksha back to the user subject to payment completion, return-address accuracy, courier availability, and shipping policy. RGL is not responsible for incorrect addresses provided by the user.
13. Report verification
Report verification helps users check whether a report number or QR-linked record is present in RGL’s public verification system. Verification does not replace physical comparison of the report, specimen, images, and details.
14. Prohibited conduct
Users must not submit stolen, illegally obtained, misrepresented, unsafe, contaminated, or prohibited items. Users must not misuse the website, forge report numbers, copy certificates, interfere with verification systems, or use RGL marks without permission.
15. Intellectual property
RGL, RGL Certified, RGL 5C Grading™, Heft Index™, RudraSure™, report layouts, certificate language, website content, graphics, and methodology-related public materials are owned by or licensed to RGL.
16. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RGL’s liability for a service shall be limited to the certification fee paid for that service, excluding indirect, consequential, speculative, resale, investment, sentimental, spiritual, declared-value, or market-loss claims.
17. Governing law
These terms should be governed by the laws of India. Jurisdiction, forum, and dispute process will apply according to RGL’s final registered entity details and applicable Indian law.
